Liberating Structures are simple, elegant and easy methods used to bring people together to talk, think and solve problems. They stimulate better conversations, deeper thinking, and greater engagement. They are called “liberating” because they are designed to include and engage everybody – liberating, so to speak, everybody’s contributions and deeply held wisdom and creativity. Taken individually, each of the 33+ methods change the way results are generated by a group. As a repertoire of complementary methods, they address many chronic challenges faced by groups. The precise and simple way each Liberating Structure is specified makes it possible for anyone to quickly start using them.

During this Liberating Structures Immersion, you will experience individual methods, notice how each was designed, and then immediately look for opportunities to apply them in your own settings. We'll take a dip into the complexity science roots of LS and a dive into the micro-organizing logic that gives all the methods a similar pattern. You’ll hear stories of how people are applying Liberating Structures in a variety of settings, and get experience stringing methods to meet your own purpose. Immersion workshops are great for unconventional networking, serious play, and skill building for anyone in a formal or informal leadership position.
