This hybrid role is based out of our Head Office in Surrey, BC , and is a 12-month term opportunity. Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $73,600 to $92,000 based on a 35-hour work week. Actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity. As a Learning and Development Specialist , you will play a critical role in supporting Westland’s enterprise initiatives. This role will be primarily dedicated to the Telephony Replacement Project, ensuring employees are supported through effective learning and change management. You may also be assigned to other projects within the EPMO as business needs evolve. You will collaborate with project teams and subject matter experts to design and deliver engaging learning resources across multiple formats. Leveraging your expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design, you will enable knowledge transfer, adoption of new technologies, and ensure business readiness for strategic initiatives. Experience administering cloud-based learning management system (experience with Ceridian Dayforce or Docebo considered an asset) Experience creating and delivering training for ERP systems or phone systems such as Genesys is an asset Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required Post-secondary degree or diploma with a focus on adult education, instructional design, or related field Once here, you'll: Create learning content, leveraging best practices in Adult Learning Principles, blended learning approaches, and Westland’s content development software ] Work with subject matter experts and project teams (EPMO) to create engaging, best-in-class learning resources Conduct needs analyses with the business when new technologies are implemented, evolve, or when knowledge gaps are identified. Test all eLearning courses prior to publishing to ensure a positive user experience Deliver training content and facilitate learning sessions in person and virtually when required Establish and maintain strong relationships with managers, leadership, and vendors/external contacts Assist with measuring the effectiveness of training, manage feedback, identify trends, make recommendations Build and execute communication plans to make learners and leaders aware of new and existing learning opportunities and tools Advise learners and business stakeholders on options for ongoing development where required Provide support for the filming of video components for eLearning courses Ongoing administration of the learning management system, updating content, providing reports as required Maintain knowledge of industry changes, Westland’s product offerings, and best practices in Adult Learning Principles #LI-VH1 #LI-Hybrid Want to get to know each other better?
